Salary: $72,000–$84,000 per year
A multi-store retail organization is looking for a Seafood Department Manager to support seafood operations across several locations in the Seattle area. This role focuses on maintaining high standards in product quality, presentation, service, and day-to-day department performance. The position includes oversight, training, coaching, and helping store teams deliver a consistent experience for customers.
3+ years of experience managing a seafood department
Ability to obtain Fishmonger certification if not already certified
Strong knowledge of seafood products, handling, and preparation
Experience training or coaching team members
Solid communication and guest service skills
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Able to travel regularly between store locations
Must be 18 or older and able to meet food safety requirements
Support seafood operations across multiple store locations
Provide coaching and feedback to department managers and seafood teams
Maintain consistency in product quality, displays, and service standards
Review sales, labor, margins, inventory practices, and overall performance
Assist with hiring, training, and developing seafood staff
Coordinate ordering, supply needs, and vendor communication
Ensure accurate pricing and signage
Maintain compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
Support merchandising resets, seasonal programs, and special initiatives
Address operational challenges and assist teams as needed
Participate in training activities and help improve department processes
Experience supporting more than one location
Familiarity with seafood merchandising or value-added products
Experience developing training or development programs
