Spartan Capital Group has partnered with a multinational pharmaceutical corporation that is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their growing team in the Detroit, MI area. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can work on multiple projects at once. Responsibilities
Prepare and assist with costing-out bills of materials
Monitor inventory variances, close work orders
Partnering with the Billing Team and Project Management on Pass-Through Billing
Reconcile balance sheet accounts associated with inventory
Record and adjust journal entries
Ensure full compliance with SOX 404 for all matters under development Inventory, inclusive of updating walkthrough information, documentation, and execution of key controls
Maintaining a working knowledge of financial reporting policies and US GAAP, especially as it relates to inventory matters
Supporting internal and external audits
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4-6 + years of relevant experience in combination with public accounting
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Strong research & analytical skills
