Spartan Capital Group has a Financial Analyst job in Detroit, MI. This is a highly visible role that provides support with analysis of the company's financial results, including preparation and creation of financial analyses for internal and external audiences, coordination of various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses, related financial projects. The Financial Analyst role reports to the FP&A Manager with direct communication to VP’s and upper management.

The Financial Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

• Lead the monthly forecasting process, including analysis of actual and forecast performance for the company, divisions and business units
• Reviews and explain variances when comparing actual, budgets, and forecasts
• Performs trend analysis with respect to key metrics
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis
• Perform hands-on support in relation to the planning systems design and configuration of reports and input schedules
• Special projects as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 2 – 4 years of experience in similar role
• Must possess strong leadership skills, be highly analytical and forward thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
