Spartan Capital Group has partnered with a top investment firm on a Senior Fund Accountant search in the Detroit Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily P&L, cash, corporate action, and reconciliations
Complete month-end closing including preparing schedules
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements of various funds
Handle month-end responsibilities for regulated and non-regulated entities
Verify accounting treatment of investor activities including contributions and withdrawals, calculation of asset-based fees and expenses, calculation of performance fees and NAV
Provide the information required in connection with various tax return filings
Develop and design of automated reports requested by management
Requirements
BS in Accounting/Finance/related field of study
3+ years of fund accounting experience
Public and/or private accounting background
CPA or parts passed required
Skilled in macros, VBA, SQL, Python
Experience/understanding of US GAAP related to investment securities and investment portfolio accounting
