Public Relations Specialist - Virginia - Health & Wellness
Spartan Capital Group has partnered with one of the world's leading health and wellness companies to help identify a Public Relations Specialist near Roanoke, VA. The ideal candidate will have extentisive experience with media relations work and a demonsrated ability to deliver on impactful and meaningful PR strategies.
Core Responsibilities
Develop a world class media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media to increase company visibility
Use proven techniques to help maximize each media placement, as well as uncover potential new opportunities and provide necessary follow-up and analysis
Create and deliver press releases, media relations and social media content
Measure the performance of PR campaigns and ensure they are aligned with company strategic goals
Proactively identify, share and make recommendations on news and issues that the Client should have a voice in
Measure the performance of PR campaigns
Pitch new ideas in order to propel brand awareness
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or advertising
Strong, clear and concise communication skills
Excellent writing, editing, proofing and fact-checking skills
Strong knowledge of all types of media
Excellent communication and organizational skills
3+ years of experience in PR role
Established media relationships
