We are looking to hire a successful candidate who has a degree in finance, accounting, or related field. In the property accountant role, you will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger, handling various accounting tasks, and running reports for the management monthly. Few other duties to be performed by the candidate includes preparing journal entries, participating in month-end close and general ledger accounting reconciliation, reconciling a bank statement, working closely with account receivable and accounts payable and provide, monitoring aging reports and assisting with an outstanding account, and performing other duties as requested. Property Accountant Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare journal entries and process account payable for cash receipts

  • Monitor account and analyze operating expense and reconciliation

  • Prepare the budget for rental income and manage operating expense

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze rent schedules

  • Prepare a report for site-level analysis and provide support to accounting schedule

  • Ensure accuracy of data tenant ledgers and coordinate with the property manager

  • Ensure compliance with all procedures and prepare annual budgets 

  • Review expense ledger and assist in recovery reconciliation

  • Manage communication with the property manager and monitor all bills of tenants

  • Ensure apt coding and prepare and update all general ledger

  • Prepare financial packages for all portfolios and reconcile all balance sheet and income statement

  • Supervise all accounting information and prepare all monthly financial statements

Property Accountant Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting with experience in property management

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience 

  • Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill

  • Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines

  • Strong verbal and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated and strong analytical skills

  • Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management

  • Quick learner with a positive attitude

  • Proficient with MS Office software and experience with Yardi Voyager a plus

  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

  • Strong work ethics with a high degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion
